Mr. RMHS is a beauty-pageant-style charitable event in which a handful of senior men compete in somewhat embarrassing contests in order to impress the judges and audience. The winner (a.k.a. Mr. RMHS) is chosen by a panel of judges selected from the female homecoming court. The runner-up, classically known as Mr. Give Next, is crowned when he accumulates the most cash donations in the bucket with his name. In the style of Miss America, there are three portions of the contest: the talent, the interview, and the swimsuit.

This year, each nominee has chosen a different charity to promote and raise awareness for. Each donation bucket has a poster with photos of the nominee and the donation he selected. Among the chosen organizations are St. Jude’s Children Hospital, Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, Child Advocacy Center, Respite Care, and Chicago’s Kids Off the Block.
Patrons should be expecting “something new and unexpected,” “to laugh until you’re on the ground crying,” “a great pair of flippers,” and “a life-changing experience for most people.”
