It’s teacher appreciation week! During teacher appreciation week, we recognize and thank teachers here at Rocky for their hard work and dedication. With all the lessons they have taught, helping, and making everything feel possible for students. They can also be a huge role model to every student. So which teacher has inspired you and why?

“Mr. Demaret ‘cause I can definitely tell how much he cares about what he does and the students that he teaches. He puts just so much effort into being a good teacher.” (Jasmine Rivas)

“I would say Mr. Ibanez because he turned my passing interest in art into forming it into an actual interest in a hobby that I enjoy. So, he kind of molded me into being just an artist in general.” (Jasmine Rivas)

“Mr. Liufau. I had him for Geography and Lobo 101, but I would say he’s just a very humble person and you can tell he really, really cares about his job and the students here at Rocky.” (Jasmine Rivas)

“Mr. Mazzia has inspired me the most because he’s a super nice guy. He’s fun to be around and I’ve never really had a bad time in one of his classes.” (Jasmine Rivas)

“Mr. Zeiner. He’s got a good teaching style, and he is like a father figure to me. He actually explains work thoroughly. He makes me laugh and just makes me want to learn about history.” (Jasmine Rivas)

“Mr. Mac. He really inspires me to do my best work and to write everything that I want to write. Ever since I had him for freshman year, I felt inspired by him and his encouragement. He’s really made me have a deeper appreciation for writing.” (Jasmine Rivas)

“The teacher that inspires me the most is Mrs. Wolf because she helps me get more confident with my arts. She tells me to fix my artwork, so then I can make it better.” (Jasmine Rivas)

“Mr. Dean. I’ve had Mr. Dean all year, and it was an amazing class that kind of got me into liking math again openly.” (Jasmine Rivas)
