This is Rocky’s 5th year supporting Make-A-Wish Colorado with our Wish Week. This year’s wish kid is named Gavin. Gavin was first diagnosed on December 20, 2024. His parents said they knew something wasn’t right, so they brought him to the ER and it took them six hours to figure out what was wrong. After an ambulance ride down to Denver Children’s Hospital, Gavin spent five days inpatient and was released on Christmas Eve. On January 14, 2025, Gavin had brain surgery to try to “debulk” the tumor. He spent 11 days after that in the PICU oncology wing and then rehab. He started chemotherapy on January 31, 2025, with a plan of 12 cycles. Each cycle was chemo every Friday for three weeks and then one week off. His last infusion was on December 26, his post treatment MRI on January 15th, and then he rang the bell on January 16th!

In four years, Rocky has raised over $81,000 for Make-A-Wish Colorado. The cost of each wish averages $7500 so we have been able to help support over 10 wishes in four years. This year’s Wish Week spirit celebrated Gavin’s favorite things.
