Snazzy Seniors

Senior year is full of lasts, laughs, and goodbyes. As the 2019 class gets closer to parting ways with the Rocky family, there are many things to look forward to.

Myles Hilbert will be attending Western Colorado University to play volleyball and run track. “It was hard because with a lot of other options you have to weigh the pro and cons.” She explains that sometimes it can be scary having to choose a school knowing you might be missing out on another option.  Her parents are very proud of their student athlete and are excited to watch her participate in sports next year.

Beau Van Der Sluys and Jake Peterson, best friends, find themselves going to rival schools. Beau will be attending Colorado State University to study mechanical engineering and Jake will be studying data science statistics in Boulder at University of Colorado.

Along with many other seniors, Jordan Yancey will be saving some money while he figures out what he wants to do by going to Front Range and taking courses to get his GPA up.

Jenna Johar is going all the way to Washington to get her nursing degree. If she keeps her grades up, she is already admitted into the program at Pacific Lutheran University. Anna Krieger is also going to pursue her nursing dreams at UCCS in Colorado Springs.

Milo Woodward, “the man behind the camera,” has a very unique and exciting plan for next year. “I’m taking a year off and doing a lot of traveling. I’ll be backpacking in Nepal and Thailand and possibly doing volunteer work in Puerto Rico second semester.” Milo will be joining Fiona Nelson and Bryson Rieber in moving and living in Thailand. After his gap year, he is looking to going to film school in Colorado.

I’ll be backpacking in Nepal and Thailand.

As the class of 2019 moves on to do bigger and better things we wish them well representing Rocky Mountain High School in the real world. Good luck!
