Senior Meeting information

Rocky seniors received important information on Wednesday, April 4, during the senior meeting that was held that night in the gym.

Seniors will receive checkout sheets from their homeroom teachers on May 21. These will need to be turned back in on May 24.

Senior exams are on May 21 (periods 1 and 3) and May 22 (periods 2 and 4). Students must pass all of their classes in order to graduate.

Another upcoming event is the Scholarship Breakfast. This will be held on May 23, at 7:30 a.m. in the main gym, commons area, and  The Rocks. This event is for all of the senior students who earned a scholarship and is designed to congratulate and celebrate them on their achievement.

Also on May 23rd, there will be the traditional senior run at the beginning of third hour, right after lunch. As a reminder, seniors need to be responsible and know that unapproved items like glitter, silly string, and confetti, will be confiscated.

The next senior event is Convocation rehearsal on Thursday, May 24, at 8:10 a.m . Attendance is required for all seniors. The actual convocation program starts at 9:10 a.m. and seniors will be in just their gowns, no caps, to celebrate all of the awards that will be handed out in the morning.

Also, checkout sheets should be turned in this day and the senior picnic begins 12:00 p.m. at Rocky. All seniors are invited to the free picnic.

Finally, on Friday May 25, seniors are required to attend graduation rehearsal at 2:15 at CSU Moby Arena. Later that day the graduation ceremony will be held at 6:30 p.m., also at CSU Moby Arena. Parents can be show up early to take pictures on the floor from 5:30-6:00 p.m.

There will be extended handicap parking on May 25th for graduation. If either a family friends or family member have trouble walking far, there is seating around the arena for their needs. Only one person can sit with the person in this area.

Seating is first come, first serve at the graduation ceremony. Saving seats is not really allowed and it is advisable to have your whole party arrive at the same time.

As a security precaution, any bags bigger than 4×6 must be clear or left in the car.

Seniors have a lot to keep track of in the next month for a successful end of the year! Congratulations, Class of 2017!
