These photos are from Leadville, Colorado, and San Diego, California, and highlight some of my favorite things.

  1. Avocado

This fruit is very important to happiness and well being. It may not be crucial to survival, however who would want to live in a world absent of guacamole? With its creamy texture and unique flavor, avocado is a staple.

  1. Maddy Haller

Maddy is a courageous human being who keeps me in place. Throughout the years she has taught me many valuable lessons, including responsibility, generosity, and on occasion, what mistakes to avoid as we both venture through adolescence.

  1. Music

From new pop to old country, music has always influenced my life greatly. It serves as motivational, emotional and entertainment value. Life would be horribly quiet without it.

  1. Mangoes

The candy like flavor and slippery texture is what keeps me thriving. I owe mangoes a plethora of thanks as they cure my cravings for unhealthy and fattening foods. If ice cream is calling my name on the daily, frozen mango is there to save the day.

  1. Softball

While I love my family dearly, there is no replacement for the bonds and friendships made on a softball field. Not only do I enjoy the game and appreciate it for exercise, it has also paved the way for my closest companionships.

  1. Lacy Miller.

Lacy and I met through a club softball team and were best friends from the first joke. She began driving me to practices twice a week; countless hours in a car together have led to my closest friendship. She supports me through anything and is my partner in crime.

  1. Mountains.

My life is very hectic. That’s why a brief pause from reality is essential to my sanity. Mountains are so simple, relaxing, yet complex. Spending just a few hours surrounded by them relieves my stress. Collecting rocks and bones fuels my inner nature nerd and inspires me to expand my knowledge of life science.

  1. Pesto.

A life without pesto is not a life worth living. Pesto brings any pasta from a 3 to a 10 instantly, and automatically makes the dish appealing. While pesto may not pair well with all foods, it pairs perfectly with all the kitchen staples.

  1. Mia Von Bernuth.

Mia and I have been inseparable since birth. Anyone would be lucky to know a woman even half as witty and kind as Mia. Some people are temporary; she is permanent.  Who needs a boyfriend when you have Mia for support?

  1. Bryce Coy.

Bryce is always there when I need him. From a shoulder to cry on, to maneuvering a couch through a narrow stairway, he has me covered no questions asked. He makes me happy on bad days and lifts me up on good ones. I am fortunate to have him in my life and wouldn’t have it any other way.
