Truth or Dare
Truth or Dare Movie Review
“Truth or Dare” what started out as a game that kids played when they were bored turned into a horror film. I would rate the new “Truth or Dare” movie a 10 out of 10. It was a very scary movie and kept me on the edge of my seat for all 103 minutes of this mysterious horror thriller.
The story starts with a group of friends going to Mexico for their last senior spring break. This movie has every type of character: the perky girl, the douchey guy, and everyone in between. This movie shows the progression of everyone not believing the curse that has been placed upon the spunky group of kids that get torn apart.
As I was watching the movie I knew when the jump scares were coming, but somehow it still startled me. The story line was very engaging and had me guessing about what was going to happen next.
This movie had its own kind of scary. I’ve never seen anything like this; it was new and different from everything I’ve seen before. It has devil scares, but also human scares. If you are looking to be scared and you’re that kid who “can’t” get scared, I would recommend this for sure.
The special effects of this movie were very believable. Nothing looked fake. This movie made you believe this could really happen to you.
After my friends and I went to see this movie, the car ride home was silent and no one would murmer the words “truth or dare.” It was that scary. This movie kept me and my friends on edge for at least 24-hours after.
Everyone has their clique of friends and this movie finds a way to connect itself with real life. It was a very relatable movie and I think that is why it was so good because I could relate to the way the characters felt about their friends and family’s situation.
This was a great movie to take a date, or to go with a group of people. It appeals to all different audiences. Whoever you are, I can assure you, you will enjoy this film.
This movie opened on April 13, 2018, and is still playing in all of the theaters in Fort Collins, but go quickly because it will be out of theaters fast. This is definitely one to see on the big screen!
