MOD Pizza Vs. PizzaRev

What franchise is better MOD or PizzaRev? MOD is a new Fort Collins pizza place that opened in October 2016 and PizzaRev just opened two months ago in Old Town. Both of these pizza places are unique because customers can make their own pizza, like Subway.  

MOD has a younger feel and appeals to Rocky teens because it is so close to the school and provides an option for a quick lunch other than Pulcinella Pizza. MOD’s pizza cost is not over $7.17. However, MOD pizza does not have as many selections when it comes to types of crusts and toppings compared to PizzaRev. MOD does serve alcohol but not as wide a variety as PizzaRev. MOD usually serves a hot pizza within about five minutes of ordering. Parking is very easy to find when you go to MOD’s because they have their own parking lot.

PizzaRev is an up and coming pizza joint in Fort Collins. They have more variety of crusts and toppings than MOD. It costs about $8.25 for a pizza at PizzaRev. They have the appeal of being the new pizza place in town and people want to test it out. The target market is CSU college students over 21, as PizzaRev has an entire wall of beer taps. People over 21 can go and get refills as long as they have purchased a wristband. The biggest problem with PizzaRev is the difficulty in finding a free parking spot in Old Town.

MOD Pizza is more appealing to me just because of the location and prices and it is cheaper for students on a budget to go to MOD. PizzaRev has a thick crust, but the time I went it was cold and undercooked. I have never left MOD unsatisfied and it always fills me up. Both of these places have a full selection of salad ingredients. You can order a type of salad or make your own. Like the pizza, it is all up to you.  

Compared to other pizza places in Fort Collins, like Pizza Hut, Pizza Casbah, or Krazy Karl’s, I think that PizzaRev and MOD are the top two for high school students. Customers can order exactly what they want and it is prepared quickly and affordable. They both have good pizza and are family friendly.
