Bob Ross Club
Bob Ross, famous for his giant, poofy perm and soothing voice, has inspired the students of Rocky to create a club dedicated to the late artist.
The club meets on Tuesdays at lunch in room 534 and is for anyone who is interested in watching Ross’ most popular videos and talking about his life.
“It’s great to see multiple people together to watch this one guy,” according to Junior, Alistair Dunnington.
Sophomore Becket Olbrys said about 15 people show up week to week. “Around 15 students end up coming in and out of the club”, according to Olbrys, founder of the club. All share an appreciation for the spunky art legend and his videos.
“We always watch him whenever our friends get into a big group. It’s super simple and everyone likes to watch it,” said Olbrys. He started it for the “chillness” of the club, and how unique it is. Students can just pop in for a little bit if they want to, or stay the whole time. Everyone is there just to have a fun and relax.
Come and see the man, the legend, Bob Ross, create pieces of art and enjoy the company of others.
