The RMHS Highlighter has recently put its stories in the Student News Source app, this app allows you to view student-centered news from your phone and get notified of new accounts. This mobile version of The Highlighter contains all of the same news found on the website, but it also allows you to apply certain filters so you’ll have access to the news you find most interesting, such as saved stories and notifications.
Student News Source is located in the App Store or Google Play Store and is available for free. Once downloaded, the app has you put in your school name in order to find the Rocky news site. Rocky Mountain High School will then be saved in the app and you’ll go straight to The Highlighter when the Student News Source app is opened.
No account is required to use this app, although you are able to input your email and receive notifications for any type of news you’re interested in reading as well as for posts from journalists you’ve subscribed to.
Thanks to the open internet this year, the app helps make The Highlighter more accessible so that Rocky students can read student-produced stories. If you’re interested in reading The Highlighter more regularly, check out the app.
