What is an event that has helped shape the person you are today?
An event that has helped shape the person I am today is LDZ. Which I learned through Rocky. It was a legislative program that I did summer going into Junior year. LDZ was very powerful for me and many other Latino students and taught us how to challenge ourselves. Not just have the answer at our hands, so I felt it really impacted me in advocating for myself and not waiting for other people to give me the answers, not to be guided. It was really challenging but definitely helped me to grow. It empowered me to help other people and understand what it is like to be challenged. For me, I learned not to look for the answer right away, I really try to do thing on my own now.
