Opinion: Christmas Needs to Know It’s Place

Miles Liss, Contributor November 20, 2019
Christmas is a festive time of year to see your friends and family and exchange gifts. It’s a tradition that envelops most of the winter, and for many it brings life and excitement into one of the coldest, greyest months of the year. Of course, Christmas is an absolutely magical time of year for children, when old Saint Nick brings them candy and presents. For companies, however, when the weather gets cold and the snow begins to fall, their eyes fill with money signs. Christmas is the most profitable holiday and they know it. This has lead to the Christmas season arriving earlier and earlier every year. In my opinion, this is an egregious abuse of the holiday season.

Now knowing the futility of their effort, they drive away. What could have informed those officers to be there? How did they know that crime was going to happen?
Is testing really necessary?

Since the mid to late 1800s, standardized testing has been a part of the education system. Though, speculation on whether or not standardized testing is really beneficial has been on the rise, and continues to go up.

How To Eat Out: A Guide For Vegans

Mady Seeber, Contributor November 8, 2019
As a vegan, you're severely limited on what you can and cannot eat, especially at restaurants. And you usually have your go-to, a vegan or vegetarian restaurant that you LOVE. But, when you're with a group of people who aren't vegan - or even vegetarian, being vegan gets just a little bit harder.

Why lowering America’s voting age might be beneficial

Carter Walz, Staff Writer October 25, 2019

In a lot of respects the United States isn’t up to date with what other countries are doing. For example, look at how we measure temperature. But, when it comes to voting, America seems to be way behind....
