Get your Boogie on ‘Bos

The winter dance is right around the corner and you know what that means, a crazy night spent dancing with your friends right here at Rocky. Who doesn’t love that? Well if you aren’t someone who likes dancing, you might not love the idea of it. But having little or no dance skills shouldn’t keep you from having a fantastic night.

If you stick with me, I’m going to try to teach you some groovy dance moves that you could pull out on the dance floor that could make your night of dancing even better.

First dance move: Step touch+ center step touch

This dance move is super simple, simply step to the right, tap your foot to your right foot and then switch. This move is all about the attitude and self-personalization, and you can easily speed it up or slow it down.

Second dance move: The classic Jump

This dance move is well know and over used, but the hype level is incomparable. Just make sure you’re hitting that beat.

Third dance move: walking man

This one is just walking in place, but you slide your feet. This move was inspired by Fiona Nelson.

Fourth dance move: Moonwalk

This move is much less complicated than most people make it out to be. Start with your left foot flat in front of your right foot. Put all your pressure on your toes on your back foot and lightly slide your flat foot backwards. At the same time, switch your feet to the opposite positions and slide your other foot backwards. This move might not be the best on the dance floor but it’s always a fun move to know.

Fifth dance move: The worm

This might also not be the best dance move, but you may end up in a dance circle and then this move could really pay off. Just lay on your belly and push your weight through your torso with your arms and repeat.

I hope at least one of these has inspired you to get your boogie on ‘Bos.
