MOD Pizza Review

If you haven’t heard about it yet, MOD Pizza is taking the Subway-style approach to pizzas and changing the lunch game— for the better.

The make-it-yourself pizzas never disappoint.

— Callin Naddy

MOD specializes in customization, with five different sauces, six kinds of cheeses, 16 veggie toppings, nine different types of meats, and six glazes, all of which can be added to any pizza for no extra charge. For the less adventurous, MOD also offers options of their own design. In addition, they serve salads, pizza-based sides, house-made teas and lemonades, milkshakes, and soda.

The first thing that stands out about MOD is their reasonably priced menu, at $4.67 for a six-inch personal pizza and $7.67 for an eleven-inch pie. The quality of the food probably calls for higher prices, especially if Qdoba can pull off $10 burritos. But, MOD maintains low prices, giving no meal the power to break your bank.

MOD is also impressive in the speed department. They pride themselves on being super fast, and they are. MOD pizzas go from the production line to the oven to your table in around five minutes. That’s perfect for hungry high schoolers who have enough time to walk to and from the restaurant, possibly with extra time to eat there.

The people at MOD also make the difference. Every encounter is a pleasant one, and employees are always willing to give input on what toppings to add or what pizza to try. Even better, the food they serve is the bomb. The make-it-yourself pizzas never disappoint, and MOD also offers their own pizza options which are pretty good. The best news is that, because they are customizable, you can visit again and again without feeling like you’re continually eating the same thing.

If you’re looking for inexpensive and quick—but still great tasting— customizable pizzas served by a friendly staff, look no further than MOD Pizza.
